The Rev. Stephen T. Ayres (Vicar) and The Rev. Eleanor Terry (Assistant Vicar)
Worship style - Traditional Epsicopalian
We were greeted by a very helpful and pleasant woman who took an interest in our pilgrimage and its purpose. She made a point of inviting us to coffee afterwards so we could share our experiences. The sermon, "Seek and Finding, an invitation to "Come and See". John 1:29-42. Rev. Ellie asked, "How do you search? Do you search based on your mood or on need? Do you respond to who God is? Seeking leads to a finding." WOW! We were feeling very close to Jesus with these questions and scripture. We were also honored to share in Holy Communion here and were served at the altar with both elements. We sat in an old-fashioned pew box. The music (organ and choir) and the acoustics were phenomenal! David was loving it as it reminded him of the music he sang at St. Paul's Choir School in Cambridge. There were approximately 50-60 people. The service was followed by a very pleasant coffee hour in the parlor next door. Here we were blessed with meeting several delightful parishioners. It is amazing to think about the history and the people that have worshipped here.
